As said before, hair is a strand of protein and it derives its nourishment from the oil. Lack of oiling leads to brittle and weakened hair. You should opt for nutrient rich oils like coconut oil, almond oil, castor oil, and olive oil to provide the best protein addition to your hair.
Most of the hair oils also have Vitamin E content, which is again a very essential nutrient needed for healthy hair growth. Regular oiling strengthens your hair, reduces hair fall, split ends and can withstand heated treatments like rolling and ironing better.
Apart from the above mentioned points, the other disadvantages of not applying regular hair oil is lack of shine and lustre in your hair, dandruff, premature greying and so on. Use warm oil for hair massaging, do it regularly for best results and then shampoo your hair thoroughly. Keeping oil overnight is also a good practise as it helps in proper absorption of the oil.
