Mix Coconut Oil and Curry Leaves to make a Hair Tonic
Curry leaves bring back the pigments which are lost to the hair and help you to retain the previous hair color. To make this excellent tonic :
- Mix coconut oil with a handful of curry leaves and boil them.
- Put off the flame when the leaves become black.
- Strain the oil and store it in a container.
Apply the oil daily to your hair and massage the scalp gently. Use it before going to bed at night and then wash off in the next morning. You need to use it regularly for at least three months to get better result.
Use Indian Gooseberry
Amla, popularly known as Indian gooseberry acts as a remedy for all kind of hair problems. It is rich in antioxidant Vitamin C. It prevents your hair from premature graying. Here is the recipe of homemade amla oil:
- Mix amla powder, coconut oil and fenugreek powder in a saucepan.
- Use low flame to heat it.
- Put off the flame when the oil turns brown.
- Cool it, strain it and store it in a container.
Massage your scalp with this oil daily preferably at night and wash your hair in the morning.
Ridge Gourd Therapy
Ridge gourd acts as a useful natural treatment for gray hair. To make a pack follow the given procedure:
- Cut the ridge gourd in medium size pieces.
- Dry those pieces in sun.
- Soak the dried pieces in coconut oil for 3-4 days.
- Boil the oil along with the pieces.
- Strain it and store it in a container.
Massage the scalp gently using this oil at night and for 4 times a week and wash off your hair in the morning.
Avoid hair colourings, dyes and chemical shampoos, they are not only responsible for damaging your hair but it increases the chance of premature graying. It is better not to eat processed foods or drink coffee as they leach useful nutrients from the body. Excessive smoking and stress are also significant reasons for graying of your hair at an early age.
